  1. "Caribou gorn" – one of my favorite moments from that sketch. They could perform abstract material and then mix it up with silly wordplay…//"Jazz" sounds tinny too, as does, naturally, "metal". "Folk" is woody?

  2. km — the names, well, maybe. I was referring to the music itself. :)(It's not the bass/treble either: I'd say Joni Mitchell is quite woody)

  3. Ah. Yes, Bluegrass is tinny. But some country music is *very* woody. Honky-tonk is tinny. How about chamber music?//and so a new language for thinking about music is born.
